Our Team
Dr. Maddie Black, DC
Hi! I’m Dr. Black, Founder of Black Diamond Chiro + Performance, and I’m so excited to be serving the Chattanooga community. My passion is helping everyday athletes feel stronger, move better and get back to doing what they love—without pain holding them back.
A little about me: I was a Division I swimmer at Ohio University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. During my athletic career, a lower back injury ultimately cut my senior season short and introduced me to a frustrating cycle of medications and temporary fixes.
That experience led me to chiropractic care—and completely changed my path. I went on to earn my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Logan University, where I discovered my passion for helping others heal the right way.
At Black Diamond Chiro + Performance, I focus on treating the root cause of pain rather than just managing symptoms. By combining chiropractic care with rehabilitation and movement analysis, my goal is to help you get out of pain, rebuild strength, and prevent future injuries—so you can perform at your best in everyday life.
Austin Black, Life Coach
Hello, I’m Austin Black, Co-Founder of Black Diamond Chiro + Performance. I’m passionate about helping people return to their everyday lives pain-free, stronger, and more confident in their movement.
I am a U.S. Army veteran, Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Life Coach, with a strong background in sports, performance-based training, and personal development. My approach focuses on helping individuals move better, reduce pain, build healthy habits, and develop the mindset needed to achieve lasting success—whether that’s in the gym, at work, or in everyday life.
My mission is simple: to empower people to build resilient, capable bodies and confident minds so they can perform at their best and live without limitations.
Jack Serafino, Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach
Hi, I’m Jack! I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Whether you’re training one-on-one, joining group classes, or working virtually, I’m here to keep you accountable and help you become the strongest version of yourself. I believe fitness is about more than just looking better—it’s about building confidence, increasing energy, and becoming your best self.
I’ve worked with clients of all experience levels, from beginners starting their fitness journey to athletes pushing for their next level. My goal is to help people build real strength through personalized training, nutrition coaching, and sustainable habits that fit their lifestyle.
My approach is simple: we start by understanding where you are, what your goals are, and what’s been holding you back. Then we create a plan together to help you train with purpose, improve your nutrition, and build consistency that creates lasting results.
Mack Paine, Licensed Massage Therapist
I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist, former Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor, and Eagle Scout with a passion for helping people move and feel their best. After spending eight years training and competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I experienced firsthand the toll injuries can take on the body. That journey sparked my interest in anatomy, rehabilitation, and the body’s ability to heal.
My approach to massage therapy is focused on finding and treating the root cause of pain rather than simply masking symptoms. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, including myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, Thai massage, guided stretching, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), reciprocal inhibition, and fire cupping to improve mobility, decrease pain, and enhance overall function.
Whether you’re an athlete, an active individual, or simply looking to move without pain, my goal is to help you recover, perform better, and get back to doing what you love with confidences lasting results.
Yasmin Machado, Wellness & Recovery Specialist
Hi! I’m Yasmin Machado, Wellness Instructor at Black Diamond Chiro + Performance, and I’m passionate about helping people feel better, move better, and build a stronger connection with their bodies. My goal is to create a space where movement feels intentional, empowering, and accessible to everyone.
A little about me: I’m originally from Brazil, and my passion for movement and wellness has continued to grow through years of practicing and studying yoga, Pilates, mindful movement, and functional strength training. I’ve also had experience in therapeutic and rehabilitation-focused environments, which has shaped the way I approach movement and wellness today.
I’m currently studying psychology, which has given me an even deeper appreciation for the connection between the mind and body. I believe true wellness isn’t just about becoming stronger physically—it’s about becoming more aware of your body, building confidence in movement, and creating habits that support your quality of life.
At Black Diamond Chiro + Performance, I focus on creating personalized one-on-one experiences through yoga, Pilates, and mindful movement. Whether your goal is to improve mobility, build strength, restore body awareness, or simply feel better in your everyday life, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward.
